9/29/07 and 9/30/07


CONTACT AGILITY

Team Monty (Chris Zincone and his Corgi Monty) had a great weekend at Contact Agility's USDAA trial getting a 1st and a Q in Masters/P3 Pairs, a 2nd and a Q in Steeplechase on day one. They ran round 2 of Steeplechase on Sunday and WON the 8" class!!! He also got a 1st and a Q in Masters/P3 Standard, 3rd and a Q in Grand Prix, and a 2nd a Q in Masters/P3 Snookers.

Karen Lechner and her young Labrador Grady got their second Novice JWW leg with a third place.

Joanne Hass and her ESS Timely Q'd in Excellent JWW on Saturday with a 2nd place and Excellent Standard on Sunday.

Lise Pratt Q'd in Excellent B Standard with her Golden Goose and took second in Open standard with her young Golden Dart.

Sue Levine's Golden Retriever Canterbury Touch By An Angel CDX, OAP, OJP “Gabe” completed his AXP title in the 20” Preferred class with a first place for all three legs.

Phyllis Covino and her Golden Ace got their first Open standard leg with a 3rd place.

Stefanie Rainer and her Pap Storm QQ'd on Saturday with a 2nd and 3rd place.

KRUSIN KANINES NADAC TRIAL

Goretta Nendza and her All American Kelsey finished their Open Standard Title this weekend in Pennsylvania.

LIGRC WC/WCX

Kerry Degnan ran her Chessie Rooney in her first ever dog event. Rooney did a fabulous job picking up and bringing back every bird!! Although the Chessie club does not acknowledge the title, Kerry should be very proud of herself and her boy.

Cindy Groveman and her Golden Bonnie passed the WC.

Lise Pratt and her Golden Dart passed the WC.

Marcy Burke and her Golden Chex passed the WCX.


NASSAU DOG TRAINING CLUB's AKC OBEDIENCE/RALLY TRIAL

Sue Levine's Golden Retriever Canterbury Touch By An Angel CDX, AXP, OJP "Gabe" completed his Rally Novice title.  Not to be outdone, his 13-year-old “brother” Scottish Terrier Sir Willard Scott Macduff CDX, RN, AXP, AJP “Willie” completed his Rally Advanced title. 

Phyllis Covino and her Golden Ace got their first Rally Novice leg.

Pam Rowley and her Viszla Gunner got their first two legs toward their CD title.

ASCA NATIONALS

Steve Jacobs' young Aussie Ruby placed third in the pre-show 12- to 18-month bitches. Wow, what a way to start, and at the nationals, to boot!

Not to be outdone, Lisa Jacob's Aussie Molly took a 1st place in open jumpers and 1st place in open standard at the nationals pre-show. Then at the actual nationals Molly got 3 Qs in Open with a second and two thirds.

Greater New York Herding Club Match 9/21/07


Long Island was lucky enough to have another club hold a sanctioned match to become eligible to hold an AKC trial. So this time next year there will hopefully be yet another trial on LI (so we do not have to cross any bridges - yeah!!)

Last Friday GNYHC held its match and Pam Rowley and her Viszla Gunner QQ'd and won their 20" Excellent Standard and Jumpers classes.

Westchester Kennel Club 9/8/07

Brookhaven Kennel Club 9/23/07


The weather was perfect today for Brookhaven Kennel Club's agility trial. Here is today's news:

Michelle Foster and her BC Billy won their very first Novice standard class.

Sandy Washburn and her Golden Trader got their 2nd AX leg with a first place.

Lise Pratt and her Golden Dart got their second Open JWW leg with a first place.

Kathy Kealey and her Labrador Mollie QQ'd in Excellent B today!!

Karen Lechner and her young Labrador Grady got out for their first Long Island trial. Although they did not qualify, Karen tells me that running Grady has reminded her of what this sport is all about - developing a relationship with your dog and having fun!!! Something that I hope I never forget - thank you Karen and Grady for sharing that with me!!!

Princeton Kennel Club September 15 and 16, 2007


Although this is a week late, congratulations are in order for these Princeton trial successes last weekend:

Terry Nolan and her Papillon Jig won their Open standard class, finishing Jig's OA on Saturday.

Terry Nolan and her Sheltie Keeper finished their OF title with a 3rd place on Sunday.

Joanne Hass and her English Springer Spaniel MACH Timely won their FAST class on Saturday.

Stefanie Rainer and her BC Gin finished their AX with a first place. Her papillon Storm qualified in 3 out
of 4 runs with a 1st , a 2nd , and a 3rd.

Lisa Jacobs and her Aussie Molly got two Open FAST legs.

LIGRC's 9/22/07 Trial



This is the first of what I hope will be many posts sharing the news from SNAP students about their Qs and titles at agility trials throughout the year. Future posts will be composed from information sent to me directly from our students, in an effort to be accurate and to not forget someone. But since this is the first post I am doing it from memory. I apologize in advance if I forget someone.

Here are today's results:

Stefanie Rainer and her Pap MACH Storm won the 12" Excellent B JWW class.

Ellie Hughes and her BC Lark won their 20" Open JWW class.

Dorene Evans and her Aussie Zooey won their 20" Excellent B JWW class.

Dorene Evans and her Aussie Vico won their 16" Excellent B JWW class.

Joanne Hass and her ESS Timely took 2nd in 16" Excellent B JWW.

Terry Nolan and her Sheltie Keeper took 3rd in the 16" Excellent B JWW class.

Ann Marie Weis and her BC Smudge finished their AXJ title today with a 1st place.

Bob Santoli and his PWD Casey finished their AXJ title today.

Karen Lechner qualified with Helene Friedwald's Golden Retriever Boomer in 24" Excellent B.

Lisa Jacobs and her Aussie Molly Q'd in 20" Excellent B JWW, with 2nd place.

My Golden Retriever Cash placed 4th in 20" Excellent B JWW class for her 7th MXJ leg.

Lise's Golden Retriever Dart got her first OAJ leg with a second place.
